Braemar Fault Code 07
Fault: Ignition failure
Potential Cause (Technical Use Only: Potential remedy):
- OT3 open (if fitted – located on burner cover). Check switch – if open, button will click when pressed.
- Ignition cable damaged or disconnected. Check ignition lead – re‐connect or replace if required.
- Incorrect spark gap. Check spark gap between ignition electrode and burner face – adjust to 3‐4mm if required.
- Incorrect test point pressure. Check pressure at outlet pressure test point on gas valve – compare with value specified on data label.
- Incorrect gas supply pressure to heater. Check supply pressure at inlet pressure tapping on gas valve with heater on max and all other gas appliances running. -NG – minimum 1.13 kPa. -Propane – minimum 2.75 kPa. Check gas meter regulator outlet pressure and fitting line size and length.
- Gas supply turned off at gas meter, heater isolation valve or gas valve on/off switch. Check gas supply – turn on if required.
- ICS not detecting flame – ignition occurs but gas off after approx. 7 seconds. Check flame sense lead is connected at ICS. Check flame sense lead is not damaged or shorted – replace if required. Check flame sense gap – should be 4‐ 6mm from flame sense electrode to burner face. Check flame sense electrode is clean – clean with steel wool or replace if required.
